Prodycem (* 1979 in Neuss ; bourgeois Cem Çiğdem ) is a German - Turkish producer and rapper . He is best known for his work as a producer for Eko Fresh's label German Dream .

Career

Beginnings

At the age of ten Prodycem started to break , later he also rapped. In 1997 he started producing beats. For his beats he used an Akai S2000 at the time . He later organized jams with colleagues in his hometown of Neuss and in Solingen .

German dream

According to its own statements, Prodycem came to the German Dream by chance. First he started working with Summer Cem , later Eko Fresh joined them and they recorded a couple of exclusive songs. When German Dream was looking for a producer for La Honda's debut album, Prodycem announced that he would like to produce the album, which he was subsequently granted. The album was released in 2007 and was called Gorillas im Nebel .

In 2007 he was the producer for Eko Fresh's third solo album Ekaveli and represented as a rapper on the song Stenzprominenz . However, the album was well below expectations and only landed at number 100 in the German charts , but Prodycem was praised for its beats. In 2008 he produced SDiddy's debut album 21 grams and also contributed most of the beats to the album.

In 2011 he released his EP The Prody Horror Picture Show , which was produced by himself and on which he appears as a rapper on all songs. The EP was offered as a free download and contains six tracks.

For Eko Fresh's fifth studio album Ekrem in 2011, he produced the majority of the songs and developed some beats. The album charted at number five in Germany and was his greatest success for Prodycem up to then. He was mostly responsible for the production of the German Dream sampler The Big Branx Theory and was also active as a rapper here. He announced his own album in 2007 in an interview with x2x2.de , but he has no concrete plans yet.
