Prophet Without Honor is an American short film from the year 1939 .

The film is a short biography of the US Navy officer Matthew Fontaine Maury (1806–1873), who studied the stored logbooks and used them to gather information on winds, calm, wind strengths, currents and countercurrents in the seas. With this information he published the first wind and current map for the oceans in 1845.
