Forever It Shall Be is a death metal band from Braunschweig , Lower Saxony .

history

The band, which was founded in Braunschweig in 2006, was signed to the Berlin record label Maintain Records just six months after its formation, on which the debut album Reluming the Embers was released in May 2007. The album was produced by Alexander Dietz, guitarist with Heaven Shall Burn . The reviews were mostly positive and the band played concerts a.o. a. in Spain , France and Poland together with well-known bands like The Haunted , All Shall Perish , War from a Harlots Mouth or Neaera .

During the songwriting for the next album, singer Tobias Luger left the band to pursue another career. Claus Ulka, formerly employed at Misery Speaks, joined the team. With the new voice, the band broke away from the songwriting that was previously more influenced by Metalcore and switched to pure Death Metal . In early 2010, the second album, Sonic Death Squad , was released on Maintain Records. The band split up for various reasons in September 2010, but reunited in May 2012.

In October 2014 the band released their third studio album, Destroyer , on Kernkraftritter Records.

style

Manuel Latton (aka inhonorus) from Legacy magazine compares the band on Destroyer with The Black Dahlia Murder and Killswitch Engage . In direct comparison with its predecessor Sonic Death Squad , Destroyer is a little less aggressive, but it is all the more melodic.
