The provost Seesen was until 31 December 2016, one of 13 sub-districts of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brunswick . On January 1, 2017, it merged with the Seesen Provost to form the Gandersheim-Seesen Provost .
Geographical location
The Seesen Propstei was on the northwestern edge of the Harz Mountains and its western foreland, where the A7 is the main traffic axis. In the church there was the Provost Office Bad Gandersheim to the west, to the northwest the parish of Hildesheimer Land-Alfeld ( Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover ), to the northeast the Provost Goslar, to the east and south the parish Harzer Land (also Hanover).
