The Prospect Gap is a mountain pass on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . In the Vestfold Mountains, it is 0.7 km southwest of Collerson Lake on the Breidnes Peninsula . This ravine is part of the overland route from Davis Station to the Ellis Rapids and allows a first view ( English prospect ) over the Ellis Fjord , the Ellis Rapids and the Mule Peninsula .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it in 1973.
