The Prosser River is a river in the east of the Australian state of Tasmania .

geography

River course

The river has its source on the western slopes of Poulters Hill in the Brown Mountain Forest Reserve , about 42 kilometers north-northeast of Hobart . From there it flows southeast and meets the Tasman Highway (A3) at Buckland . There he turns his course east-northeast and accompanies the highway to the small town of Orford , around 56 kilometers northeast of Hobart. There it flows into Prosser Bay , a bay of the Tasman Sea .
