The Sand River is a river in the east of the Australian state of Tasmania .

geography

River course

The river has its source on the southern slopes of Cornishs Hill in the Buckland Military Training Area , about 55 kilometers northeast of Hobart . From there it flows south through unpopulated land and flows into the Prosser River about six kilometers west of Buckland on the Tasman Highway (A3) .
