Proton tiara

The Proton Tiara was a car model produced by the Malaysian manufacturer Proton from 1996 to 2000 . It was identical to the Citroën AX , but only available as a five-door. Outwardly it corresponded with its bumpers to the AX GT. The tiara was an attempt by Proton CEO Tan Sri Yahaya Ahmad, who died in a helicopter crash in 1997, to gain more independence outside the influence of Mitsubishi and to use the then modern diesel engine technology from PSA . The tiara was not exported.
