Tabuk , also tabouk ( Arabic تبوك, DMG Tabūk ), is a province in the north of Saudi Arabia . The province on the Red Sea , 146,072 km² in size, is inhabited by approx. 806,000 people. The capital is taboo .
The history of the region can be traced back up to 3500 years. Remains of the biblical cities of Dadan and Maidan can still be found today . Allegedly, the inhabitants of Ham , a son of Noah , are said to have descended.
Flowers are produced in the province, which are also exported to Europe.
