Puerto Almacén is a town in the Beni department in the Amazon lowlands of the South American landlocked state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Puerto Almacén is the fifth largest town in the municipality of Trinidad in the province of Cercado . The municipality is located at an altitude of 156  m on the right, eastern bank of the Río Ibare , which flows 44 kilometers downstream into the Río Mamoré .

The annual average temperature is 26.2 ° C, with the monthly average temperatures between June / July at a good 23 ° C and October / December at just under 28 ° C (see climate diagram Trinidad). Transport network

Puerto Almacén is nine kilometers by road west of Trinidad , the capital of the department.

Trinidad is the intersection of the national roads Ruta 3 and Ruta 9 . The Ruta 9 crosses the entire Bolivian lowland from north to south and leads from Trinidad to the metropolis of Santa Cruz, 477 kilometers south, and on to the Argentine border. The Ruta 3 begins in Trinidad and heads west via Puerto Almacén to Puerto Barador , then crosses the Río Mamoré and leads into the Bolivian highlands to La Paz .
