Joseph Luis Chipolina (born December 14, 1987 in Gibraltar ) is a Gibraltar football and futsal player.

Career

In the club

Chipolina began his career with Laguna FC in Gibraltar . In the summer of 2006 he left Gibraltar for Spain, where he continued his career at La Bolonia CF in La Línea de la Concepción . After a season, the city rivals and Segunda División B club Real Linense became aware of him. Chipolina finally signed in summer 2007 and played for RB Linense until summer 2011. He scored 17 goals in 108 games between 2007 and 2011 before being loaned out to league rivals CD San ​​Roque de Lepe in July 2011 . He came to San Roque in the season to 24 games and scored two goals before terminating his loan deal with CD San ​​Roque. Chipolina returned to Balmompédica and also dissolved his contract that ran until the end of the season. He then moved to the US in April 2012, where he was to continue his career with the Real Colorado Foxes. He couldn't get by in the USA and so returned to Gibraltar in August 2013. Chipolina has played for St Joseph's FC ever since .

National team

Chipolina completed his first official FIFA -A-international for the Gibraltar national football team on November 19, 2013 at 0: 0 in the Portuguese Faro against Slovakia . Before that, he played in unofficial international matches for Gibraltar between 2007 and 2013, excluding the consideration and evaluation of the international matches by UEFA and FIFA. He also played the Island Games in the summer of 2011 , but failed with the team in the preliminary round.

Futsal career

In January 2013 he played the preliminary round of the 2014 European Futsal Championship with Gibraltar , but retired after three significant defeats with his team. However, Chipolina made futsal history at the tournament by scoring the first ever futsal goal in a tournament for Gibraltar.
