Pul-i-Alam ( Dari / Pashtun پل علم Pul-i ʿAlam ) is an Afghan city ​​and administrative center of Lugar Province .

It is located in the Pul-i-Alam district .

The Lugar River flows through the city .

history

On June 25, 2011, a suicide bomber blew himself up outside the local clinic, killing at least 20 people. A building also collapsed. The Taliban denied any involvement in the attack.

On October 15, 2013, the provincial governor Arsala Jamal died in an attack on the city's largest mosque. He had been there on the occasion of the festival of sacrifice to give a speech.
