The pumped storage power plant Revin is located in the French department of Ardennes in place Revin , near the border with Belgium. The pumped storage power plant , owned by Électricité de France (EDF), went into operation in 1976 and has an output of 800  megawatts . In terms of output, it is the third largest pumped storage power plant in France.

technical description

The power plant is provided as underground power plant was built in: the four reversible Francis - pump turbines with a capacity of 200 MW are located in a cavity with a length of 115 m, a width of 17 m and a height of 16 m. The four machine transformers are located on the surface and transform 13 kV of the three-phase machines to 400 kV of the power grid.

The power plant has three reservoirs.
