Pyroderces brosi is a butterfly ( moth ) from the family of cosmopterigidae (Cosmopterigidae).

features

The moths have a wingspan of 13 millimeters. The head is white and yellowish brown on the sides. The antennae are ocher gray and have a white line that extends from the base to one fifth of the antenna length. The thorax is yellowish brown. The tegulae are yellowish brown and lined with white inside. The forewings are yellowish white and pale yellowish brown mixed. At the base of the wing there is a short white line in the anal fold. The basal region is yellowish brown up to 1/4 of the forewing length and paler on the inner wing edge. It is bounded by a very indistinct band that runs obliquely outwards. Above the anal fold there is a yellowish brown line from 1/3 to 2/3 the length of the forewing. It widens apically and becomes darker. A narrow, yellowish-brown line is located on the inner edge of the wing at the apex . The fringed scales are ocher-colored on the apex and yellowish white on the inner wing edge. The hind wings are gray.

The genital armature of the males is similar to that of Pyroderces argyrogrammos and Pyroderces caesaris , but differs in the rather short, strong and parallel-walled right brachium and the slightly curved manica. P. brosi can be distinguished from P. argyrogrammos by the curved left brachium and from P. caesaris by the short and spatula-shaped valves .

The female genital fittings are unknown.
