The Inglis River is a river in the northwest of the Australian state of Tasmania .

geography

River course

The river rises about three kilometers southwest of the settlement of Oonah on the Murchison Highway (A10), about three kilometers north of the Hellyer Gorge . From there it first flows north to east of the Moorleah settlement and then turns its course west. At Wynyard it flows into Bass Street . The town of Wynyard is on the south bank of the river, while the north bank is the Wynyard Golf Course.
