The Elmer Kreuzspitze is a 2480 m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Lechtal Alps in Tyrol .
Location and surroundings
The Elmer Kreuzspitze forms the northern foothills of the mighty Kreuzspitze ridge. Distinctive steep grass flanks drop to the west and east, while the summit on the north side has partly vertical rock walls. The Tauberspitze joins in the northeast and the Elmer Muttekopf in the northwest . The height of the gap at the Elmer Kreuzspitze is at least 100 meters.
The closest places are Namlos in the east, Stanzach in the northwest and the eponymous Elmen in the southwest.
Ascent
The approaches in steep grassy terrain require dry conditions and surefootedness. The Anhalter Höhenweg runs over the summit.
- From Elmen
In Elmen up to the Stablalm (1380 m) and on through the forest and steep grass slopes to the edge of the northwest ridge. Continue steeply up to the summit. This climb takes about four hours.
- From the Middle Kreuzspitze
From the Mittlere Kreuzspitze (2496 m) to the north a little exposed in places, but secured down to the lowest point (approx. 2370 m) and on the ridge back up to the summit. The transition takes about half an hour.
- From the Tauberspitze
From the Tauberspitze (2298 m) or even before this pathless to the southwest over the Karjoch to the lowest point (approx. 2190 m) and on the very steep and exposed Schrofengrat ( difficulty II ) to the summit.
