Qabibolla Qabenuly Schaqypow ( Kazakh Қабиболла Қабенұлы Жақыпов , Russian Кабибулла Кабенович Джакупов ; born September 16, 1949 in Kastalowka, Kazakh politician ) is a Kazakh SSR .

Life

Qabibolla Schaqypow was born in 1949 in the village of Kastalowka in western Kazakhstan . He graduated from the Institute of Civil Engineering in Tselinograd in 1972 and in 1989 he graduated from the party college in Alma-Ata . From 1972 to 1981 he worked for the Uralskselstroy company.

From 1983 Schaqypow was active in local politics. He was deputy chairman of the Uralsk City Council and, from 1983, chairman of the Executive Committee for Industry of the Uralsk City Council. Between 1987 and 1988 he was first secretary of the District Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan and then until 1989 second secretary of the City Committee of the Communist Party in Uralsk. From 1989 to 1992 he was chairman of the Uralsk City Council and from February 1992 to January 1993 head of the Uralsk City Council.

In January 1993 he was then appointed Äkim (Governor) of Western Kazakhstan. He held this post for almost seven years before moving up to the Kazakh government as first deputy minister for transport and communications in January 2001. From July 2003 he was Deputy Head of Administration of the Kazakh Prime Minister and Representative of the Kazakh Government in the Senate . After the parliamentary elections in 2007 he was elected as a member of the Mäschilis for Nur Otan , where he became a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security. Even after the 2012 election , he remained a member of the Mäschilis, where he was deputy chairman from September 2012 to April 2014. On April 3, 2014, he was elected chairman by the MPs. Even after the election in March 2016 , he is still a member of parliament.

Qabibolla Shaqypov is married to Bayan Shaqypova. The two have two sons together.
