Qiang Huang ( Chinese  强 黄 , Pinyin Qiàng Huáng ; born April 11, 1982 ) is a Chinese water diver who started for Malaysia in 2012 .

Qiang celebrated his first successes in the 10 m tower and synchronized jumping. At the age of 16 he won the silver medal from the tower at the Asian Games in Bangkok in 1998 . He was nominated together with Tian Liang for the 10-meter synchronized jumping at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney . The duo was considered the favorite for Olympic gold, but Qiang had to cancel his participation a few days before the start of the competition due to illness. In the following years, Qiang did not take part in the major international competitions. In 2006 he left the Chinese national team.

Six years later, Qiang returned to diving, he is now starting for Malaysia in the 3-meter artificial and synchronized jumping and is training under Yang Zhuliang. In the very first year he celebrated successes in dubbing competitions with Bryan Lomas . The duo won two competitions as part of the FINA Diving Grand Prix and surprisingly came third at the World Cup in London , which meant qualifying for the 2012 Olympic Games .
