The Quänebach (or just Quäne ) is a right tributary of the Wiederitz and is located in the area of ​​the cities of Wilsdruff and Freital . In Wurgwitz a street is named after him (" Zur Quäne ").

The Quänebach rises south of the Kleinopitz district in the Quänegrund and flows in a west-east direction in small meanders into the Döhlen basin . It mostly flows through meadows and fields, in the lower reaches of Freital- Zauckerode it also passes allotment garden colonies and residential areas. There, the brook used to feed the “Zacke” open-air swimming pool, through which it runs piped, with water. Shortly afterwards the Quänebach flows into the Wiederitz.
