The Quartz Pebble Hill (English for quartz pebble hill is) a hill with a flattened summit in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . It rises from the northern step of the Buckeye Table in the Ohio Range of the Horlick Mountains , where this step meets the Discovery Ridge .
The hill was named at the suggestion of geologist William Ellis Long (* 1930) from Ohio State University , who was active in this area in two Antarctic summer campaigns between 1960 and 1962.
