Career

society

The defender comes from the Ajax Amsterdam football school . As a professional player, he played with Ajax in the UEFA Cup and the Champions League . During the winter break of the 1999/2000 season he moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach on a free transfer , but only played eleven competitive games there in three years, which is why he went to Alemannia Aachen in 2002 for a transfer fee of 35,000 euros . In Aachen he was one of the regulars, in 2004 he reached the final of the DFB Cup with Alemannia, which they lost 3-2 to Werder Bremen . After this season he moved to TSV 1860 Munich , where he only played about half of all season games. His contract, which expired in 2006, was not extended, he completed a trial training session at MSV Duisburg . Due to the lack of injuries in the defense, Lanzaat was signed by the MSV in October 2006 until the end of the 2006/07 season . Since he was previously without a club, he could be used immediately.

For the 2007/08 season he left the zebras again and moved to the Bulgarian first division club CSKA Sofia . At Sofia Lanzaat was twice in qualifying for the 2007/08 UEFA Cup used and reached the main round. In the second leg of the following first main round against Toulouse FC he was also on the field and was eliminated with Sofia due to the away goals rule. At the end of the season Lanzaat won the Bulgarian championship with Sofia. In December 2008 he terminated his contract, which was valid until 2009.

For the 2009/10 season he moved to Germany to the third division club FC Carl Zeiss Jena , where he signed a two-year contract. In 2010, however, he went to SV Wehen Wiesbaden , where he played for two years. He has been without a club since his contract expired on June 30, 2012.

National team

Lanzaat completed 52 international matches for the Dutch junior teams from U 13 to U 21 and scored seven goals.

Doping offense

Lanzaat came into the public eye when he tested positive for THC , the active ingredient in cannabis , after the DFB Indoor Cup final on January 16, 2000 in Munich . The then 20-year-old was initially banned by the DFB for eight weeks because he had not consciously doped. The SpVgg Greuther Fuerth , loser of the final against Mönchengladbach (2: 3), then lodged a protest against the verdict. This was initially rejected. In the second instance, however, the DFB Federal Court overturned the judgment on May 31, 2000 and recognized Mönchengladbach from the title. In addition, Lanzaat was banned for three months.
