The Quik ( Mota Quik , Mota Quic ) is a temporary river system near the north coast of East Timor . Only during the rainy season , two arms of the river arise in Suco Talitu ( Laulara administrative office , Aileu municipality ) and in Suco Acumau ( Remexio administrative office , Aileu municipality ) and flow off to the north. At the point where the Sucos Acumau, Hera (administrative office Cristo Rei , municipality of Dili ) and Sabuli (administrative office of Metinaro , municipality of Dili) meet, the two arms of the river converge and flow further north into Hera. After the quik has passed Sidara and Caremon , it divides into two arms again. The western arm seeps away before it reaches the Wetar Strait , the eastern arm flows into the Hahic .
