Rénelle Lamote (born December 26, 1993 in Coulommiers ) is a French athlete who competes in the middle-distance run and specializes in the 800 meters.
Career
In 2012 Lamote made his first international appearance at the Junior World Championships in Athletics in Barcelona and made it to the semi-finals there. In 2013 she failed in the preliminary round at the European Athletics U23 Championships . In 2014 she made it to the semi-finals of the European Athletics Championships in Zurich in the senior class . In 2015 she won a medal for the first time at the U23 European Athletics Championships in Tallinn, Estonia, and made it to the final at the World Athletics Championships , where she finished eighth. In 2016, she was able to improve significantly and achieved her personal best of 1: 58.01 min at the British Athletics Birmingham Grand Prix and thus qualified for the European Championship and the Olympic Games. At the European Athletics Championships in 2016 , she won the silver medal. At the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro , she failed in the preliminary round.
