The Río Chapare is the 279 km long left source river of the Río Mamoré and one of the most water-rich rivers in Bolivia .

course

The Chapare is created near the village of Villa Tunari by the union of the two rivers Río Espíritu Santo and Río San Mateo . The river flows in a north-easterly direction and in its course forms the border between the province of Chapare in the north and the province of Tiraque and the province of Carrasco in the south.

Due to the slight gradient, the river has bifurcations and numerous meanders in its course and finally joins the Río Ichilo to the Río Mamoré at the border to the Santa Cruz Department near Puerto Aurora .
