Tiraque is one of sixteen provinces in the central part of the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
location
The province extends from the heights of the Bolivian Cordillera Oriental down to the tropical lowlands of the Río Chapare . It is bordered to the west by the province of Chapare , to the southwest by the province of Punata , to the south by the province of Arani , and to the east by the province of Carrasco .
The province extends roughly between 16 ° 53 'and 17 ° 31' south latitude and 65 ° 37 'and 66 ° 18' west longitude, its extent from west to east is up to 50 kilometers, from north to south 65 kilometers.
