The Río Fardes is a river in the province of Granada in Andalusia , Spain .

After the confluence of the Río Guardal , it becomes the Río Guadiana Menor . The river belongs to the Guadalquivir catchment area . During its course, the A92 accompanies the river to Purullena.

The river has its source in the Sierra de Huétor ( Granada province ) in the municipality of Huétor Santillán . In its course is the Embalse de Abellán . After the confluence of the Río Alhama and the Río Guadix and the confluence with the Guadiana Menor , the river flows into the Embalse del Negratín .
