The Río Alhama is a river in the province of Granada in Andalusia , Spain .

The Río Alhama has its source in the Sierra Nevada National Park . After about eight kilometers, it flows west past Lugros . After eleven kilometers it flows east of Polícar . After 14 kilometers it passes Beas de Guadix and after 17 kilometers Marchal . About a kilometer before the mouth, it flows west past Purullena . It flows into the Río Fardes near the A92 .
