River course

The Río Namangoza flows through the subandine region in the Ecuadorian province of Morona Santiago . It arises near the town of Patuca at the confluence of the Río Paute (right) and Río Upano (left). It flows 38 km in a predominantly southern direction. After 10 km the Río Yunganza meets the Río Namangoza coming from the west. The E40 road to Puerto Morona runs not far from the eastern bank of the river. Finally, the Río Namangoza unites with the Río Zamora coming from the west to form the Rio Santiago.
