The mountain range of the Cordillera del Cóndor extends east of the river . Finally, the Río Zamora merges with the Río Namangoza coming from the north to form the Río Santiago. There are several cities and towns along the river, including Zamora , Zumbi , Yantzaza , Cumbaratza , Panguintza and Los Encuentros . Larger tributaries are the Río Sabanilla , Río Bombuscaro , Río Jamboé , Río Timbara and Río Nangaritza from the right and Río Vinoyacu , Río Yacuambi , Río Chicaña and Río Bomboiza from the left.
