River course
Río Palpa has its source in the Peruvian Western Cordillera 20 km north of Laramate. The Río Palpa flows in a predominantly south-south-west direction through the mountains. After about 77 km it flows into the Río Grande, 5 km southwest of the city of Palpa in the province of Palpa , which in turn flows into the Pacific . The Río Palpa and the Río Grande fall dry at times.
