The Río San Juan is a river in the south of the Argentine province of San Juan .

It is primarily fed by the meltwater of the Andes . The river has an average flow rate of 56 m³ / s. It is 500 km long and its catchment area covers an area of ​​39,906 km².

The upper reaches of the river are used for water sports such as rafting and fishing, as well as windsurfing and swimming at the Ullum reservoir. Over its entire length, the water of the Río San Juan is mainly used for irrigation.
