Roman road Kempten - Kellmünz - Günzburg
The Roman road Kempten - Kellmünz - Günzburg connected the city of Kempten with the fort town of Kellmünz and then continued to Günzburg . Roman forts stood along this route. The starting point was Cambodunum ("Cambidanum" in late Roman times), followed by the forts Kellmünz Caelius Mons and Günzburg Guntia .
Part of the former Roman road between Leubas and Kempten corresponds to the current course of the road and is a listed building. The course of the Roman road east of Illerberg is also a listed building. Here, too, the course of the Roman road partly corresponds to the current route.
List of forts and burgi along the Roman road
The table lists all the forts and connected via the Roman road built on the road Burgi on. The forts are shown in a different color for better distinction .
