Rönnelmoor is a peasantry the community Jade ( Wesermarsch ) in the northwest of Lower Saxony . The place takes its name from the Rönnel, a ditch. A good 160 people live in Rönnelmoor (as of 2017. Source: Jade municipal administration).

Rönnelmoor is located in the east of the municipality of Jade and borders on the neighboring municipalities of Ovelgönne and Stadland .

history

Settlement took place in the early 19th century. September 11, 1800 can be seen as the date of foundation. Rönnelmoor was part of the Bailiwick of Schwei until 1811 . Up to 1845 there were 64 colonists in Rönnelmoor who helped with the cultivation of the moors. A direct road to Schweiburg did not exist until the middle of the 19th century.

In the first half of the 19th century Rönnelmoor received a school. This had more than 100 students at its peak. In 1965 the school was closed.

Sport and club life

  • The Rönnelmoor shooting club was founded in 1955 and has a good 100 members.
  • TuS Rönnelmoor celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2007.
  • The SG welding / Seefeld / Rönnelmoor was established in 1992 as a syndicate founded by TuS welding, Seefeld TV and TuS Rönnelmoor. In 1994 this became the sports community. In 2015 it had 330 members. The first men's team is currently (2018/19) taking part in the game operations of the 2nd district class (season 2) of the Jade-Weser-Hunte football district, the lowest division.
  • The outdoor swimming pool, which opened in 1951 and closed in 2000, was of great importance in Rönnelmoor. At times it was the only swimming pool in the Wesermarsch district and counted up to 700 visitors on sunny days.
