Location of Jaderberg in Lower Saxony |
Jaderberg is the largest town in the municipality of Jade and is located directly on the federal motorway 29 at the three-district corner Friesland - Ammerland - Wesermarsch . The place is best known for the Jaderpark - a leisure and animal park .
The community was first mentioned about 600 years ago as "Cerspel to Vryjade". But only at the end of the 15th century is a chapel mentioned, which gave the farmers their current name. After various dikes, the community grew steadily.
In recent decades, Jaderberg has developed structurally from a rural street village with its terraced courtyards to a central town with large new building areas.
The TUS Jaderberg, founded in 1911, is the largest association in the area. The Jadeburg scout tribe has been active since 1998.
