The red cherries ( Paralepista ) are a genus of mushrooms from the order of the mushroom-like and a satellite genus of the red cherries ( Lepista ). It contains species with very crowded standing, sloping lamellae and oval to almost round spores. The type species is the red chalk funnel .

The species of the genus are edible, but there is a high risk of confusion with the highly poisonous species of the genus Paralepistopsis such as the perfumed funnel .
