The knight relatives (Tricholomataceae) are a large, cosmopolitan widespread family in the order of the mushroom-like (Agaricales).

features

They usually form fruiting bodies , which are divided into a hat and a central stem . The lamellae are attached to the stem or grown wide. The hats of knight relatives are usually hunched or arched, sometimes also pointed conical and only in a few exceptions depressed. The spore powder is light-colored, the spores are hyaline , smooth and not amyloid .

Systematics

The knight relatives include around 2500 species in around 100 genera (107 according to Bollmann, Gminder and Reil). The delimitation of the individual genera and their affiliation to the Tricholomataceae is partly disputed. The following genera, for example, belong to the family of knight relatives:
