from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rüde ( Danish Ryde ) is a place that belongs to the municipality of Munkbrarup .

location

The place borders directly on the municipality of Glücksburg and the local Rüdeheck . The main road connection consists of Glücksburger Straße, Dorfstraße (with the exit to the village of Munkbrarup two kilometers away) and Meiereistraße which leads to Iskiersand and from there to the Holnis peninsula . To the west of the village is the Rüder See.

history

The name Rüde refers to the clearing of a forest (see also: Cistercian monastery Rüde ). The Gasthaus Rüde, which is now called the Flying Hare, has existed since the middle of the 18th century. At the beginning of the 19th century, Rüde was given a train station for the new Flensburg circular railway . In the referendum in Schleswig (1920) 135 Rüder citizens cast their votes, of which only seven were in favor of Denmark. Due to the election results, the Flensburg-Land district , in which the municipality of Rüde belonged, remained with Germany. Around 1922 there were 228 people in Rüde. A large part of the houses in the village evidently came into being after the Second World War . On February 15, 1970 Rüde was incorporated into Munkbrarup.
