Rudiger Ruble

Rüdiger Rubel (born February 3, 1954 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German legal scholar and former presiding judge at the German Federal Administrative Court .

Life

In 1982 Rubel completed his legal training with the second state examination in law and received his doctorate from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main . From 1983 he worked as a judge, initially at the Frankfurt am Main District Court and the Wiesbaden Administrative Court . He was temporarily seconded to the Hesse Ministry of Justice and as a research assistant to the Federal Constitutional Court . From October 1989 to May 1991 he was a judge at the Frankfurt am Main Administrative Court and then became a judge at the Hessian Administrative Court and was again seconded to the Hesse Ministry of Justice.

In March 1996 he was appointed judge at the Federal Administrative Court. He was a member of the 11th Audit Senate and then from 2001 to November 2008 the 9th Audit Senate, most recently as Deputy Chairman of the 9th Senate. During his time in these two senates they were also responsible for land consolidation law , nuclear law , road law , the right of construction of waterways , EXPLORATION and the infrastructure contribution law. On November 6, 2008, he became presiding judge at the Federal Administrative Court. Rubel heads the 4th Revision Senate there. 4. The Senate is responsible for public construction and land law, the Law on Spatial Development , the planning law and the right of application and operation of airports. In addition, he was chairman of the specialist senate from May 2016 to December 2018 . After 23 years of service, he retired at the end of October 2019.

Rüdiger Rubel is an honorary professor at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen . He is co-editor of the journal Juristic Worksheets (JA) and editor there for the area of public law .
