ROAR! Rock of Angels Records is a Greek music label with a focus on hard rock - and metal - bands . The company is based in Angelochori - Thermaikos / Thessaloniki . The productions are distributed by Soulfood Music Distribution GmbH. The Rock of Angels Records label is a registered trademark of Infinity Entertainment IKE.
Company history
The company was founded in 2012 by Akis Kosmidis, who has been involved in hard rock and heavy metal since his early teens . The company started out as a pure music label with the name ROAR! Rock of Angels Records, which focuses on the marketing of young Greek bands from the metal scene that was particularly active at the time , as well as on the licensing of albums by well-known bands, such as B. Stryper or Operation Mindcrime.
Under the label ROAR! Rock of Angels Records, which has since been registered as a European trademark, have released over 50 different albums, including Nemesis by Sarissa and Blind Faith by Mean Streak. The distribution of the company's own products is carried out throughout Europe (with the exception of Greece and Cyprus) by Soulfood and in Great Britain by plastichead code7. The digital distribution takes place via Believe.
In September 2015 an open air festival called "Rock on the Beach" was held for the first time.
Expansion of the business lines: In 2015 the name of the company was finally changed to Infinity Entertainment IKE. This became necessary in the course of expanding the company's purpose, after the company had meanwhile also taken over the exclusive distribution of sound carriers from other independent labels.
Alignment
The company is divided into several different business areas. For its own label program, the in-house label ROAR! Rock of Angels Records, which specializes in heavy metal and rock music . Death metal and dark metal are sold under the sub-label Growl Records .
Infinity Entertainment handles sales of its own and third-party label products to wholesalers and intermediaries in Greece and Cyprus. Infinity Entertainment has meanwhile developed into one of the most important Greek independent music distributors for independent labels . Exclusive distribution agreements for Greece exist. a. with Nuclear Blast , SPV , AFM Records and Frontiers Records .
Infinity Entertainment uses retail chains such as Media Markt and public stores as distribution channels as well as many smaller specialized music stores. Marketing takes place online via the Music Megastore internet shop.
From a collaboration with Joe Lynn Turner , the former singer of Deep Purple and Rainbow and the renowned Greek winery Nico Lazaridi, a wine was created and distributed under the name "Joe Lynn Turner - King of Dreams".
