RW-49 ( Russian РВ-49 ) is the name of a medium-wave transmitter in Omsk , which has existed since 1942.
From 1942 to 1956, the RV-49 transmitter used a 150-meter-high transmitter mast with a wire antenna attached. The mast was made of wood and was one of the tallest wooden structures ever erected . In 1956 this mast was replaced by the current 164 meter high self-radiating transmission mast.
