history

A castle stable near Raßberg indicates the old settlement of the area. The rural community of Raßberg was founded in 1818 by the Bavarian municipal edict. In addition to Raßberg, it included the towns of Wolkar (the town hall), Anetzbergerhof, Brand, Eitzingerreut, Hunaberg, Leitenmühle, Lichtenau, Nottau, Oberkümmering and Steinhofmühle. On July 1, 1972, together with the incorporation of the Wegscheid district into the Passau district, the municipalities of Oberdiendorf and Raßberg were incorporated into Hauzenberg. Only Hartingerhof and Manzenberg came to Büchlberg .
