Rachel Cosgrove Payes

Rachel Ruth Cosgrove Payes (born December 11, 1922 in Westernport , Maryland ; died October 10, 1998 in Brick Township , New Jersey ) was an American writer. She authored a number of books set in the world of Oz , as well as several science fiction novels that appeared under the pen name E. L. Arch (an anagram of her first name Rachel ). She also wrote some novels for Playboy Press , for which she also used the pseudonym Joanne Kaye .
