Rachel Lynn Matthews (* 1993 ) is an American actress .

life and career

Rachel Matthews was born in 1993 to Leslie Ann Landon Matthews , a daughter of Michael Landon , and Brian Matthews, and grew up with three siblings (two brothers and one sister). In 2013 she was elected Queen Shenandoah LXXXVI, Queen of the Valley's Springtime Blossoms at the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival . She was trained as an actress in New York City and Los Angeles , among others . In New York she attended the Tisch School of the Arts under Michael McElroy and was trained by the acting teacher Ted Sluberski , among others . Here she was also used in the Stonestreet Studios , although she was trained personally in Los Angeles in the Michael Woolson Studio by Michael Woolson , but also received lessons from Michael Connors and Braden Lynch. In New York City, Matthews has appeared in various theater productions, including Lysistrata Jones at NYU Tisch New Studio on Broadway , Italian American Reconciliation at Circle in the Square Theater and in 2014, directed by Kenneth Branagh, on Off-Broadway -Piece of Macbeth .

To her first significant role in film and television, she came in 2017 in the slasher Happy Deathday , a mixture of Groundhog Day and Scream , in which they appear in the supporting role of Danielle Bouseman , president of the sorority, appeared on the scene . Her uncle Christopher B. Landon appeared as the director of the film . In the German-language dubbed version of the film, she is given the voice of Julia Kaufmann . According to his own statement, Matthews had previously worked in smaller film productions. In 2019 she also played her role as Danielle Bouseman in the sequel Happy Deathday 2U . A year earlier she appeared in the music video for the song Give A Little by Maggie Rogers . Another film production in which Matthews is involved is currently (as of February 2019) in post-production and will be released in March 2019 under the title Ms. White Light .
