Racoon (ger .: Raccoon ) is a 1997 founded rock / pop - band from the Netherlands .
history
In 1997 the singer Bart van der Weide and the guitarist Dennis Huige founded the band Racoon , back then as an acoustic duo . Just one year later, however, bassist Stefan de Kroon and drummer Paul Bukkens joined the band. Racoon had their first big appearance in 1999 at the Dutch Noorderslag Festival . Shortly afterwards, in 2000, they released their first single Feel Like Flying and their first album Till Monkeys Fly . In 2004, Feel Like Flying was even voted one of the 100 best Dutch songs by the listeners of the radio station 3FM .
The band's most successful song to date was Love You More, a collaboration with Armin van Buuren , released in 2005. The single made it to third place in the Dutch charts, for example.
