Radio AWN is a private radio station from Straubing . The station's managing director and program manager is Georg Hausmann, who is also the managing director of Radio Trausnitz .

The broadcasting area of Radio AWN includes the city of Straubing, the district of Straubing-Bogen and parts of the neighboring districts. The program is broadcast on VHF by the two stations Straubing and Mallersdorf-Pfaffenberg. The "Straubing" transmitter used to be at the church tower on the Bogenberg (0.3 kW ERP) and has been located at the Bavarian Forest service station on the A3 (87.90 MHz, 1.0 kW ERP , ⊙ ) since 2013 . "Mallersdorf-Pfaffenberg" (95.70 MHz, 0.1 kW ERP ) is broadcast from the Hofkirchen-Osterholz telecommunications tower in Laberweinting . In addition, the program can also be received via live stream over the Internet and via broadband cable networks (94.25 MHz) in the transmission area.
