Radio Trausnitz is a private radio station based in Landshut. The station's managing directors are Marco Gerstl, Georg Hausmann and Willi Schreiner, and Stefan Ibelshäuser is the program director.

Together with the regional studio Landshut of the youth radio station Radio Galaxy , Radio Trausnitz is part of the Landshut radio house.

history

Radio Trausnitz has been broadcasting a radio program since September 1987, which at that time was receivable on only one frequency in the city of Landshut when it started broadcasting. Since then, the station has developed into a private broadcaster in Lower Bavaria. The program primarily reaches the target group of 30 to 59 year olds in large parts of Lower Bavaria. Since summer 2018, the program can also be received across Lower Bavaria via DAB +. Radio Trausnitz broadcasts a current CHR format with a mix of music from the 1980s to the latest hits. The station offers a 24-hour program. The news and service elements (weather and traffic) are always broadcast every full and half hour.

The station has a technical range of 415,000 listeners and can be received via cable, seven VHF frequencies and DAB + throughout Lower Bavaria. The program is also offered online.

Radio Trausnitz is received almost everywhere in the city of Landshut , the districts of Landshut , Dingolfing-Landau , Rottal-Inn and partly in the districts of Freising , Erding , Kelheim , Mühldorf am Inn and Straubing-Bogen . Radio Trausnitz can also be heard on the northern slopes of the Chiemgau and Berchtesgaden Alps and in parts of the Bavarian Forest. The transmitter can also be heard and received in the eastern district of Eichstätt and on the eastern outskirts of Ingolstadt and in the eastern district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm. You can also use the local station in Landshut as far as Regensburg and also in the south and south-east of the Neumarkt district idOPf. Listen.
