Radio Bern 1 is a private local radio broadcaster in the Bern region . The station is based in the Medienhaus on Dammweg. The organizer, Radio Bern 1 AG , is, like its predecessor, Capital FM AG, with share capital of CHF 400,000, is wholly owned by Zürichsee Medien AG.

history

The station has its roots in the predecessor program Capital FM , whose FM frequencies it took over at the start. In 2012 he employed 32 people (around 24 full-time equivalents) and four freelancers. With the restart, Radio Bern 1 expanded the distribution area to the Bernese Oberland as far as Solothurn and from the Emmental to Murten. The Berner Landbote noted that the previous program - although it was number 1 in the capital - could not anchor itself in the entire broadcasting area as a regional radio, which is now the task of the new station.

program

Musically, the station wants to offer a varied program, consisting of the latest pop and rock music and the greatest hits from four decades (“Adult Contemporary”, AC). The station's flagship is the morning show “Guete Morge Bärn”, moderated alternately by Monika Buser and Tobi Flückiger.

The station organizes a daily radio program with information from the region and contributes to the development of cultural life in the editorial part. Further contents include u. a. “Radio Bern1 @Work”, “Radio Bern1 - Ab i Fyrabe”, the sports programs “Radio Bern1 - YB live” and “Radio Bern1 - SCB live”.
