Radio F (also called Radio Franken ) is a private radio broadcaster from the Franconian town of Nuremberg on the FM 94.5  MHz frequency of the Funkhaus Nürnberg Studiobetriebs-GmbH.

history

In February 1986, Radio F started broadcasting in the cable network together with Neue Welle Franken (now Radio Charivari ), making it the first private broadcaster in Nuremberg. Radio F successfully applied for one of the five terrestrial frequencies advertised on July 25, 1986 and thus prevailed (together with the special interest broadcaster Jazztime Nürnberg ) against a total of 36 applicants. On December 3, 1986, Radio F was one of the first four private broadcasters in Nuremberg to start broadcasting on the VHF frequency 94.5 MHz. 2011 was declared an anniversary year: 25 years of Radio F were celebrated throughout the year with competitions, campaigns and a large event at the Volksfestplatz .

The station has been receivable in the greater Nuremberg area since November 1, 2012 via DAB + digital radio (block 10C).

These are distributed among 58,000 men and 40,000 women. In the group of people over 50, the daily range was 70,000 people. The average number of listeners per hour was 29,000.

The station's flagship is the program Guten Morgen Franken with Marion Dorr and Helmut Föttinger. The entire Radio F team has hardly changed in the past 25 years. Many presenters have long been part of the station's permanent base: Anja Seidel, Sylvia Kunert, Sigi Hoga, Christian Fein or Günther Moosberger.

With Marion Dorr, Markus Balek (currently Charivari Nuremberg: "Frankensodderer") and Andreas Lengenfelder (also switched to Charivari Nuremberg), younger moderators (25–28 years old) have also found their place in the Radio F team .

From 1999 to 2004, the team of moderators included Harry Wijnvoord .
