National Radio Hall of Fame

The National Radio Hall of Fame honors individuals and radio programs who have made special contributions to promoting radio in the United States . It is part of the Museum of Broadcast Communications in Chicago , Illinois .

Members are proposed by a committee established by the President of the Museum of Broadcast Communications . The committee consists of radio producers, scientists, specialist journalists, etc. It compiles a list of candidates and sends it to all members of the museum for voting every May. The winners will be announced at the annual general meeting in August.

The most prominent non-member is the famous but controversial presenter Howard Stern , who has been nominated many times but has not yet been elected.
