Radiotelevisão Caboverdiana RTC for short (German: Cape Verde Broadcasting ) is the official state radio and television company and the largest media company on Cape Verde . The RTC is a public company and was founded on August 1st, 1997 in Praia , from the merger of the discontinued RNCV (Rádio Nacional de Cabo Verde) and the TNCV (Televisão Nacional de Cabo Verde) in the capital of the archipelago.

It manages the Televisao de Cabo Verde (TCV), the Rádio Cabo Verde (RCV) and the Rádio Cabo Verde Jovem (RCV +), the country's youth broadcaster. The Chairman of the Board of Directors is Horácio Moreira Semedo. RTC is headquartered in Praia , with offices in São Vicente , Sal , São Filipe and Santa Catarina (Cape Verde) . The company has correspondents in 22 cities across the country and is the country's largest media employer .

TVC broadcasts a program from noon to midnight, RCV broadcasts a full 24-hour program , while RCV + broadcasts a program for young people from 7 a.m. to around 10 p.m. The RTC has multiple cooperation agreements with other television broadcasters around the world, but mainly with Portuguese-speaking countries .
